Ryan Garcia’s Solana memecoin, $RYAN, launched with explosive momentum, reaching a $250 million market cap in just 10 minutes. If you didn’t know, he is a very popular boxer. However, shortly after, Garcia deleted all traces of the token from his social media, raising concerns over the legitimacy of the project. The token team’s allegedly held 85% of the supply, causing the price to collapse by 72%, now sitting at just $2.4 million.
This isn’t the first time Garcia has been involved in controversy, but the speed of this pump-and-dump left many investors frustrated. Originally pitched as a charitable initiative to help children, the abrupt deletion of all promotional posts has fueled accusations of a scam. Many are questioning why someone with a reported $50 million net worth would engage in such a move, further damaging trust in celebrity-backed memecoins. Just an awful past 2 days for Dana White man. The UFC just got hit with a crypto scam, and this one’s wild. Their official Instagram account was hacked on Wednesday, with a fraudulent post promoting a UFC-branded Solana meme coin. The token skyrocketed 44,367% to an $11.3 million market cap in just 41 minutes before the attackers cashed out, dumping 40% of the supply and walking away with $1.4 million.
Fans were blindsided, thinking this might be a real UFC crypto play—especially since Trump’s Solana meme coin took a similar path. Some traders poured in five-figure sums, only to see their investments tank by 97%. Now, a desperate community takeover is in motion, hoping to revive what’s left of the token, which is currently sitting at a pathetic $89K market cap. And the 2nd part, a UFC fighter was “praising” Hitler. Dana needs a lot more than just a beer.
so @ufc $UFC posted a meme coin on their official IG account yesterday and it hit $10mil mc and then dumped and the post was deleted.
@danawhite needs to wake up to reality and make an announcement or the community will take over and run it to millions!
