TARIFFS AFFECT ON CRYPTO🫡
Amid escalating US and China trade tensions, Bitcoin may serve as a primary beneficiary of potential capital flight triggered by a devaluation of the Chinese yuan. Arthur Hayes, founder of BitMEX, and Bybit CEO Ben Zhou both highlight historical precedents in which yuan depreciation coincided with significant BTC inflows, as Chinese investors sought to preserve capital and circumvent tightening capital controls. A weakening yuan undermines confidence in centralized monetary policy, increasing the appeal of decentralized assets like Bitcoin. Should the PBOC implement a controlled devaluation to counterbalance the tariff impact, it may catalyze renewed demand for crypto as both a store of value and cross border transfer mechanism.

Lately, there has been a trend of Humanizing images thanks to ChatGPT, like the tweet below, where they made their cats turn into people. People have been humanizing memes like POPCAT, Bart Simpson, and a lot of PEPE. Once this started to pick up, $HUMANIZE was made, and has had a nice run since, up 2,000% to a $942 Thousand market cap. $HUMANIZE could be on a similar run like Ghibli, where its fueled by the OpenAI meta.

CRYPTO JUSTICE REFORM
The U.S. Department of Justice has officially disbanded the National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team (NCET), signaling a sharp pivot in crypto enforcement. The move restricts DOJ prosecutions to only crypto related crimes involving direct fraud or theft, while eliminating cases against exchanges, anonymizing services like mixers, or cold wallet holders, unless they knowingly facilitate criminal activity. This aligns with Trump’s January executive order promoting blockchain access and reducing what his administration sees as regulatory overreach. NCET had previously led major actions against Tornado Cash, Avraham Eisenberg, and even North Korean cybercrime operations, but the DOJ now says it will only prosecute the perpetrators. The announcement comes amid broader pro crypto regulatory reforms, including the SEC and CFTC scaling back enforcement, and Trump’s efforts to establish a national Bitcoin reserve.
