DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency, uncovered $4.7 trillion in Treasury payments that were untraceable due to a missing Treasury Access Symbol (TAS). The TAS field, which links payments to a budget line item, was previously optional, making oversight difficult. DOGE announced that the field is now mandatory, increasing transparency into government spending. The department claims to have saved taxpayers $55 billion through fraud detection, contract cancellations, and budget cuts.$DOGE saw an 4.8% drop, bringing its market cap down to $2.3 million.
The Treasury Access Symbol (TAS) is an identification code linking a Treasury payment to a budget line item (standard financial process).

Hulezhi, a Chinese crypto whale, shocked the Ethereum community by donating over 2000 ETH to charities before taking his own life. Among the transfers, 500 ETH was permanently burned at the 0x0dead address. X user OnchainLens first reported the transactions, sparking widespread speculation about Hulezhi’s motivations, with theories ranging from ideological struggles to personal crises. His final messages suggested he believed he had been "brainwashed since childhood," leading to discussions on mental health in high-stakes crypto investing. Meanwhile, a developer allegedly controlled by AI has reportedly died, but his AI continues to operate autonomously, raising new concerns about AI’s role in crypto development.
Ethereum gas fees have soared as users struggle with network congestion, which some link to Hulezhi’s massive ETH transfers. At the same time, $HULEZHI, a tribute memecoin, skyrocketed over 150,000% in 24 hours as traders rushed to capitalize on the news, unfortunately down 60% since. The coin, launched in honor of Hu Lezhi, a programmer who claimed to be under lifelong mind control, has a total supply of 100 million tokens with its liquidity already burned.

Elon Musk's AI startup, xAI, has launched Grok-3, which he claims is the smartest AI on Earth, powered by the massive "Colossus" supercomputer with 200,000 GPUs. The chatbot, available to X Premium Plus subscribers, is set to expand with a standalone app, web version, voice interactions, and API access. Ahead of its release, the Grok 3 token saw an 80% surge before sharply dropping 86% on SOL, but has increased 38% on Base. While Grok-3 has shown strong AI benchmark performance, its real impact will depend on upcoming features and how it stacks up against competitors like ChatGPT and Google's Gemini in practical applications.
Grok 3 appears to be a state-of-the-art frontier model. This is a huge accomplishment, especially considering how late in the game they started.
