The Tim Cheese meme started from a TikTok AI-generated story, where a criminal rat named Tim Cheese was blamed for taking out iconic meme figures like Quandale Dingle, Freaky Bob, and the beloved John Pork. John Pork, a half man, half pig influencer known for his wholesome selfies and viral "John Pork is calling" videos, became part of the wild lore after a fake news story announced his death, with Tim Cheese revealed as the culprit.
The meme’s absurdity didn’t stop at storytelling, it jumped straight into crypto. The memecoin $TIM launched after the killer rat’s reveal, quickly climbing to a $205K market cap and peaking at $255K. Though it’s since cooled down to around $128K, the legacy of John Pork, and the legend of Tim Cheese, lives on, proving the internet will meme literally anything into existence, and then trade it.

SOLANA ETF LAUNCH

Solana is having a major moment, the price surged 12% on Wednesday, breaking past $135 for the first time in ten days, and it’s all thanks to the upcoming launch of the first ever Solana futures ETFs. It’s now down to $131 but the price surge was needed for some confidence. Volatility Shares, the Florida based investment firm behind the move, is rolling out two funds: SOLZ, tracking Solana futures with a 0.95% fee, and SOLT, a leveraged 2x version with a 1.85% fee. This development has traders piling in, with SOL open interest skyrocketing 39% in just 24 hours to $8.3 billion.
But this is more than just a short term pump. Futures ETFs historically pave the way for spot ETF approval, which we’ve already seen with Bitcoin and Ethereum. SOL ETF approval odds have jumped to 88% on Polymarket, and Bloomberg analysts peg it at 75% by year end.
