OpenAI’s launch of Sora 2 and its linked social app sparked the creation of $SamAI, a memecoin tied to the rollout. The coin dipped to $440K before quickly rebounding to $2.5M and now sits around a $1.6M market cap. Its growth has been fueled by viral AI-generated videos of Sam Altman rapping, shouting about AGI, and stealing GPUs from Target, circulating across Instagram and TikTok as one of the first tokens directly tied to the new Sora platform.

It’s obviously been retracing, with only one spurt so far, currently at a $73 Million market cap. Is this the start of its uptick, with $AURA up 20% today, with $2.8 Million in volume.
