Berachain has officially launched its mainnet, bringing its unique proof-of-liquidity consensus mechanism to life. Unlike traditional proof-of-stake networks, Berachain rewards liquidity providers instead of token holders, creating a DeFi-focused ecosystem. The network’s native token, BERA, debuted with an airdrop of approximately 80 million tokens, currently valued at $632 million based on the price of $7.59. Major exchanges like Binance, OKX, and Coinbase have listed BERA, contributing to its market cap of $815 million.
With Ethereum compatibility, Berachain allows developers to migrate applications seamlessly while offering better liquidity and potentially lower fees. Over 270 projects are already building on the network, with $3.3 billion locked in ahead of launch. Berachain’s long-term success will depend on sustaining its early momentum and delivering on its promise of revolutionizing DeFi through its liquidity-driven model.

Sports are now being integrated into memecoins, SOUND THE ALARM, this is huge for memecoins, potentially bringing an onslaught of sports viewers and bettors. Upon the Super Bowl this Sunday, a plethora of athlete memecoins were made, along with the $SUPERBOWL memecoin. Some of the athletes included, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Jalen Hurts, and Saquon Barkley. Surprisingly, they have decent market caps, which contradicts the usual athlete market cap. For example, Lebron James has an $11K Market Cap, gotta be AI man, no way someone is higher than LeBron.
My theory for these memecoins is similar to sports betting, where people would buy the coin of the player they think will play well. The most potential might have to be Travis Kelce, due to him dating Taylor Swift, especially if he proposes after the game, barring a win. This could be the future, with athlete memecoins on par with sports betting. A collab for the century!

JUPITER GETS HACKED

Jupiter’s official X account was compromised, leading to the promotion of scam tokens like $MEOW and $DCOIN. Within minutes, unsuspecting traders pumped the fake tokens’ value past $20 million, only for the attackers to drain liquidity, leaving investors with worthless holdings. Jupiter’s JUP token to drop 12%. The team later regained control of the account and assured users that no funds or treasury holdings were affected, as they were secured in multisig wallets. The memecoins are now at a $69 Thousand market cap.
Traders lost millions instantly on this Jupiter account hack. Literally in a matter of minutes. It’s amazing how we trust these protocols with billions of dollars in liquidity but they’re not competent enough to protect their social media. Quite the paradox we see too often here.
