Solana based meme coin Peanut the Squirrel soared to a $130 million market cap within three days, fueled by a viral moment after Tesla CEO Elon Musk reacted to the passing of the beloved squirrel. Mark Long, Peanut’s caretaker, revealed on social media that New York’s Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) had confiscated the squirrel and euthanized it for science. Musk and the entire public condemned the agency’s actions, sparking outrage online and inspiring traders to rally behind $PNUT. The nut only lasted so long, as $PNUT dipped back to a market cap of $44.4 Million. This is up there with Harambe, tho no cap.

COLORADO’S CRYPTO FRAUD🗣
A Colorado resident recently lost over $6,000 in Bitcoin to scammers posing as law enforcement officials, with an additional $4,000 transfer halted just in time by local deputies, per the Summit County Sheriff’s Office. The perpetrators convinced the victim they had missed jury duty and could avoid arrest by transferring Bitcoin, a tactic increasingly seen in Colorado. Prolly cause they high as balls 24/7, anyway: Another similar case in Denver saw a woman lose nearly $5,000, following instructions to clear a fake warrant through a Bitcoin ATM. Colorado’s crypto fraud landscape has expanded, with state investigators recording over 1,300 cases totaling $81 million in losses in 2023. The FBI’s Denver branch also warned of rising scams involving token impersonation, including a notable $3.2 million incident involving a pastor and his wife. Be careful everyone in Colorado, but don’t worry, cause I’ll spin for y’all.
Crypto scammers are now impersonating law enforcement, tricking victims into paying “fines” in Bitcoin.
